The Pioneer Experience

The Pioneer Experience is located at Plainville Farms.  While there we explored a replica log cabin complete with furnishings, learned how to make soap and how to grind grain into flour.  The girls were surprised to learn about the "mail tree" method for delivering letters.  The Pioneer Experience focuses on the 19th century.  Our guide was dressed in pioneer period clothing and did a wonderful job with our tour.  After our tour we went to the indoor farm animals petting area, saw a video and animated characters and saw the turkeys.
