Pen Pals

Well, we were contacted thru the internet by another Brownie Troop to become pen pals.  My girls were really excited and we decided to write to the other troop, and hopefully meet them this summer.  However, this did not work out.  Our girls wrote several times and only had 1 actual response ( a couple of animated greetings).  Our last letters were at Christmas and we still haven't heard back.  Being pen pals is a lot of work and takes a lot of time. Perhaps our two troops were not a good match, I have 20 girls and the other troop had 10 at first and then lost some.   I am not saying this to discourage anyone, but prepare your girls that it may not work out.  We hope to find another troop to write to in the future.  

We have found postcard swapping and shoe box exchanging to be less time consuming and more reliable/rewarding.
