Brownie Troop 78's Community Service Record

At this age Community Service is a difficult concept/activity.  About 1/2 of our Community Service is for our community of Central Square. The other 1/2 benefits our schools.  At this age the girls schools really are their "community". 

1998-1999

• November 1998:  Our troop did a book drive for the school library. 

• December 6, 1998: Our troop sang at the Community Tree Lighting and made ornaments (silver bells from egg cartons) to decorate the tree.

• December 11, 1998:  Our troop went Christmas Caroling in our community.

• December 1998:  Our troop did a winter clothing drive for our school. 

1997-1998

• December 7, 1997: Our troop sang at the Community Tree Lighting and made strung popcorn to decorate the tree.

• December 19, 1997:  Our troop went Christmas Caroling in our community.

• April 1998:  Our girls collected over 100 books in our book drive for the school library.
